Getting to Orkney

Despite its location Orkney is well a connected place. by road rail plane and sea.

The main approach follows the A9 North by either road or rail. There is also a direct bus service to Orkney from Inverness.

Ferries sail from Aberdeen to Kirkwall and Scrabster to Stromness with Northlink Ferries, or from Gills Bay to St Margarets Hope with Pentland Ferries.

British Airways also operate flights from all major Scottish Cities.
