10/02/2006 High praise for Heart of Gold, new Neil Young concert film
Associated Press in Los Angeles is praising Heart of Gold, the new Neil Young film shot by Jonathan Demme at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville last August. Here’s a sample from David Germain’s 3.5 (out of 4) star review: “Everything about the production serves to complement and flavor intimate performances from Young at his country-tinged best… “Young is not only a great musician … but also a wonderful storyteller… eloquent, expressive introductions … warmth elevates them far above the usual between-song patter.” I can hardly wait to see the DVD.
