23/08/2004 Scorsese's The Blues - radio series to air, at last
Blues fans who criticised the Martin Scorsese The Blues TV series as overly diffuse, and who would have preferred a more systematic history of the genre, will not want to miss the accompanying 13 part radio series, which follows a more conventional narrative, thematic format. A reliable source informs me that, almost a year after its US run, the radio series will finally get a UK airing - on MOJO Radio - which can only be received in my house via the TV set (it's a Freeview radio channel). The series is imminent: watch this space. Gerry Smith
