11/08/2004 Muddy Waters: a must-see TV biography
Encouraged, no doubt, by BBC4's recent success with the Scorsese blues series, C4 are screening what promises to be a "must-see" one hour musical biography, Muddy Waters - Can't Be Satisfied, at 1140pm tomorrow, Thursday 12 August. In what has already been a golden year for music for grown-ups on Brit TV, the Muddy Waters profile promises to be the most important transmission yet. Hopefully, it'll concentrate on the music, not the rich "social" life - Waters is arguably the greatest blues musician of them all, and it will be a pity if his achievement is down-played in favour of tittle-tattle. Gerry Smith
