Shelton's biography, and the ever-growing Dylan library

Robert Shelton's Dylan biography, No Direction Home, was published in 1986, after a delay of some years. A 573 page door-stopper, full of insights, it was worth the wait. The hardback has been out of print for years, so I was very pleased to pick up a copy in almost mint condition last weekend at my local Oxfam second hand bookshop, for the silly price of £2.99. The moral of this story? Support your local Oxfam bookshop.

As a semi-serious collector of Dylan books, I've been amazed at the number of new titles published in the last few years. As you'll guess from the list of my collection below, my Dylan shelves clearly need updating, so I'd be very grateful for any tips about the more recent Bob books, for publication in the Daily Update on this web site, www.musicforgrownups.co.uk.
