13/05/2004 Giro Playboy - feedback
Correspondent Anne Ritchie raved about new wave star-in-the-making, Giro Playboy (see her review on this site's Daily Update - 27 February). Reader Neil Winspear took Ms Ritchie's advice and caught Giro Playboy performing his unique set of slacker vignettes at the regular Thursday residency at London's highly regarded Whitechapel Art Gallery. His judgment? He reinforced the rave notices: "You're right about the Giro Playboy - he is a modern day Dylan, but more of the Thomas, not the Bob, variety. Keep on rockin' in the free world, Mr Playboy."
