Grammy Awards: little music for grown-ups

As usual, there was little in the Grammy Awards to interest grown-ups. The only winners we'd endorse are Outkast, the White Stripes and Johnny Cash. Most of the rest: disposable, trashy pop.

For over-30s with imagination? Nostalgia. Heritage. Safe, bland, lightweight.

Music for advertising-led conformist consumers.
