highway maintenance
a poem not about 'it'
that sinking feeling
brocolli quiche, chips and salad
just think...
...if i had the time
mobile phones, mobile fumes
run down
the inability to deal with the fact...
my mum says...
make your home your own
in response
window shopping

> about my poetry
I was hassled by a colleague at work to write a poem for a compilation based on 'time'. I resisted for a while. I am a painter not a writer and had never had any desire to express myself in words rather than pictures. When he had finally given up on me I very quietly, very secretly, scrawled "If I had the time...".

My poems are about small, almost insignificant, passing moments in my life. Things that strike me during my everyday life - sitting alone in a cafe when the last thing you want to be is alone - trying to buy a skirt, (and failing) - things that most people do every day.

The following poems are not placed in any particular order - and were written over a number of years.
